Fenton Christmas Plate

Christmas in America is the name of the series of Christmas plates by the Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The series of 12 plates depicts famous churches from around America and each has a text on the reverse side that describes that church.

The one pictured is the "Little Brown Church in the Vail" from Bradford, Iowa. On the reverse side of the plate are the words, "there's a church in the valley by the wildwood, no loverlier spot in the dale, no place is so dear to my childhood as the little brown church in the vail," by William S. Pitts - 1865.
