1970 Imperial Christmas Plate
The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio was founded in 1901. Through the years it has produced pressed glass in many patterns. In 1970 it entered the Christmas plate market with this pressed glass plate, made with a raised pattern showing a scene from the Christmas song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". This is the first plate in the series and has the words, "On the First Day of Christmas my True Love Sent to me a Partidge in a Pear Tree."
