NAJ #1 - Hopi Concho Belt or Storytelling Belt - $600 (Click Here for Closeup View)
This belt was made by a Hopi craftsman using the overlay process. It is called a storytelling belt because each link in the belt represents a story. This was one way the stories of the Hopi were passed from one generation to another. We were fortunate to be allowed to watch as one of the craftsman made the final link for this belt which we were to buy. This belt was purchased at the Galanis Trading Post in Gallop, New Mexico in August of 1990.
NAJ #2 Hopi Overlay Bolo Tie - $99
This silver overlay bola tie was also handmade by the same craftsman who made the above Concho belt. It was also purchased at the Galanis Trading Post in Gallop, New Mexico in August of 1990.
