If you look closely you can see the arms of this storyteller filled with children. This doll, 4 1/2" in height, was purchased in August, 1990 from the Safara Jewelry in Gallop, New Mexico. The bottom of the doll shows the signature of the artist, Margaret Quintana and the date the doll was crafted, 11/89. |

The special doll with her arms full of children was purchased from the Gila Society Museum south of Phoenix, Arizona, in March 1989. The doll is 2 1/4" and was made by Dorothy and Paul Gutierrez from the Santa Clara pueblo. She has signed their name on the bottom of the doll but it cannot be copied because of the "black process" by which this doll was made. . |
