"Cap gun collecting is one of the fastest growing collectible fields of the 1990's. Cap guns that sold for a couple of dollars in the 1940's and 1950's are now worth as much as $100 or more, and it looks as if the prices are only going up. Why all the interest in cap guns?

There has always been interest in antique toys, especially cast iron toys like banks, but now they cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

While there has been an interst in cast iron cap guns for some time, only now are they coming up in price. Cap guns from the late 1880's through the 1940's are sought for investment purposes as well as fun."
